USA vs. The World Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXXII April 17-24, 2011


The theme for this year’s Dr Pepper Dallas Cup Youth International soccer tournament is “Bringing the World to Dallas” and it is certainly very true as the final selection of the 180 boys soccer teams ages from U13 to U19 is completed.

Teams from countries worldwide have applied to travel to Dallas to compete for the coveted “Boot & Ball Trophy” awarded to each of the winners of the seven age groups. The Dallas Cup organization is proud of its reputation of being one of the most prestigious International Youth Soccer Tournament in the world. Built up over the past thirty one years and with over 400 team applications this year its popularity in youth soccer around the world “is second to none”.

Tournament Manager, Randy Jones, has stated that team selection this year has been one of the most difficult in his 16 years with the Dallas Cup. To disappoint so many fine teams has not been a pleasant task, he stated.

“Our mission is to give as many young American youth soccer players, as possible the opportunity to test their soccer skills against the very best from around the world” stated Executive Director, Gordon Jago, “and Randy has certainly achieved this objective for this year’s tournament, with 19 different countries represented in the 7 different age groups.
