Team sees experience as positive

Andromeda’s U-18 Academy Team took a ride in Dallas Cup XXX that wasn’t settled until its third game, a1-0 loss to Vancouver, was over. After two games, Andromeda had racked up a 1-1 tie with CA River Plate on opening day, and a 2-1 win Monday over FC Monterrey. A day of rest sent Powers’ team against a sturdy Whitecaps team, 4-1 victor over FC Monterrey on Sunday and a 2-1 winner over River Plate. Dallas had to take a win from Wednesday’s game or watch from the sidelines the rest of the way. The ride finally throttled down in the razor-thin loss to the Whitecaps, which put the Canadians in the quarterfinals Friday against Eintracht Frankfurt, 6 p.m....more
