Let's all be friends tomorrow

Teammates of the Andromeda U18 team will face off in the Region I finals this afternoon. Both Jesuit and Plano won their Regional I semi-finals last night.
Tomorrow, CA River Plate 3pm Dallas Cup. Monday, CF Monterrey.

4 games in 4 days.

"....But whatever the result of the regional tournament, it’s guaranteed that members of both Plano and Jesuit will take the field together Sunday in the Dallas Cup as teammates on Andromeda’s U18 team. An all-star lineup of Hahn, McDuff, Powers and Jesuit seniors Nate Dombrowski, Ryan Morales, Alexei Reyes and Sewell Strifler will take part in the international competition. Andromeda will face CA River Plate in the Dallas Cup Super Group opening game, which is 3 p.m. Sunday on the stadium field at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco.

It creates an even more interesting dynamic if Plano and Jesuit faceoff at 3 p.m. Saturday.

“They could play against each other one day and then with each other the next day,” Weir said. “But it helps for them to know who they’re either beating or losing to. It makes for good competition; and since they know and are friends with each other, you don’t have some of the situations we’ve been in.”...Last stop before State

The same goes for the Region II finalists. Both nationally ranked Klein and Woodlands have academy players dotting their rosters.
